Corzine gave the keynote speech before the Anti-Poverty Network's 7th annual conference.Following a presentation given by a panel of low-income families and single mothers, Corzine told the audience he has made construction of more affordable housing in the state a priority, and wants to meet the goal of 100,000 housing units sooner than the 10-year timetable he touted during his 2005 campaign."Affordable housing is on top of the list; it is an issue on the minds of everyone in New Jersey," said Corzine.The network, formed by nearly 300 organizations, laid out steps for greater health care coverage for people with limited incomes.
